MRO XPO INDIA & AIRCRAFT INTERIORS INDIA 2024 IN NEW DELHI


New Delhi / Mumbai: 19th December, 2023. Aerospace Media Group (a STAT Media initiative) is proud to Announce Mr. Suresh Prabhu as the Chief Guest to Inaugurate MRO XPO INDIA & AIRCRAFT INTERIORS INDIA on 27th February 2024, at the Le Meridien Hotel in New Delhi, India.

Revered as a Thought Leader, Mr. Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu has been hailed as a Reformist in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government. A multi-faceted and multi-talented, the former Parliamentarian’s contribution to Aviation has been truly note-worthy, especially with the forward-thinking policy changes he brought about, to be holistic and at the same time has taken the Indian Aerospace sector to the world stage.

As a member of the Cabinet Committee, Mr. Prabhu’s implementation of the UDAN (Regional Connectivity Scheme), and launching of DigiYatra, (a digital platform that makes air travel in India, seamless and convenient), will always be lauded. He rolled out several new aviation policies, importantly the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Policy, National Green Aviation Policy, the Drone Policy, and the National Air Cargo Policy. All of this has attracted investments in the Indian aviation sector, which has made the sector competitive and Lucrative.

NOTES TO THE EDITOR

  • India's Commercial Fleet is forecasted to Expand to 1137, almost doubling from the present level on the back of rising demand from LCCs. The Regional Jets & Wide-body Aircraft to increase to 116 from current numbers.
  • Total Engines on order (with incoming jets) ~ 2500.
  • The number of aircraft with Indian carriers has grown by 75% from 400 in 2013-14 to over 700 now..
  • Air India just placed a historic order for 470 aircraft.
  • Earlier in 2023, 190 Boeing 737-8 aircraft and 50 options were signed up for by Air India. These aircraft are most probably all going to be inducted by Air India Express.
  • Akasa Air’s order book comprises 76 jets which include 23 737-8s and 53 737-8-200 airplanes. In addition, the airline remains fully committed to placing a three-digit aircraft order by the end of 2023.
  • IndiGo operates over 292 aircraft and has previous orders totalling 500 aircraft which are yet to be delivered between now and the end of this decade.
  • With this additional firm order of 500 aircraft for 2030-2035, Air India & Indigo’s order book has almost 1,000 aircraft yet to be delivered well into the next decade.
  • In 2013-14, India saw 6 crore domestic flyers. Now this number is up 130% to 14.5 crore.
  • The number of international air travellers has grown by 50% in the same period from 4.7 crores to 7 crores now.
  • Cargo, domestic and international together, has grown 65% from 2.2 million tonnes to 3.6 million tonnes now.
  • We have become the world’s third-largest aviation market due to the progressive policies adopted by Govt. of India.
